開口部の向こう側は明るい。
見えているのは、アクリルガッシュを塗った紙の上に描画している部分、展示空間の照明に反射した鉛筆の鉛である。向こう側が開いているように見えるのは、物理的には、物質が紙の面に載っている状態で成立している。
絵を見ることは、幻影を見ることだ。そうと知っていてもなお、夢を見ることは止められない。

The side beyond the opening is light.
What is visible is the area being drawn upon paper coated with acrylic gouache, and the graphite from the pencil reflecting the exhibition space's lighting. The appearance of an opening on the other side is physically constituted by the material being placed upon the surface of the paper.
To look at a picture is to see an illusion. Even knowing this, we cannot stop dreaming.
